Ibiza Sax DJ.

An Ibiza sax DJ plays the music and plays live saxophone over it. I'm Paul Martyn, based in Nottingham, performing as a sax DJ at weddings, parties and corporate events across the UK and abroad.

What is an Ibiza sax DJ?

A sax DJ is one performer who runs the music and plays the saxophone on top of it. Paul plays the DJ set and the live sax himself, so the two are always in step: the sax picks up the melody of the track that is playing, adds a riff on the chorus, and eases back when the room needs a breather.

The sound is Ibiza-style: live saxophone over house, dance and chart tracks, the sunset-lounge sound made famous on the Ibiza party scene. It works for a relaxed drinks reception and just as well later in the night when everyone is on the dancefloor.

One performer, two instruments

The DJ set

A continuous set of house, dance and chart tracks, with your song choices worked in. Every booking includes a consultation to curate your selection.

The live sax

Saxophone played over the tracks, in the room with your guests, not a recording. It gives the night its Ibiza feel.

The room

Clients regularly say Paul reads the crowd and plays the right thing at the right moment.

A sax DJ, or a DJ and a separate sax player?

Some events book a DJ and add a saxophone player on top. A sax DJ is a different shape of booking: there is one person to brief, one set-up in the room, and one continuous set with no handovers between DJ and player. Because Paul controls both the music and the sax, the two are timed together.

Every package includes a full professional sound system and lighting rig, so there is nothing extra for you or your venue to source.
